There is “no chance” that Russia will be defeated in Ukraine, Ambassador Denis Alipov stated, pointing to his country’s “existential threat” nuclear doctrine.
Alipov explained that Russia’s policy allows for the use of nuclear weapons if its very existence is challenged, a reality he says makes defeat impossible.
“You can’t, you know, take over us in this conflict,” he said at an event in Gurugram, directly linking the nuclear deterrent to the war’s outcome.
The ambassador then turned his criticism toward Europe, calling its leaders “unprofessional” and “childish” for believing a Ukrainian victory is possible.
He also contrasted this with Donald Trump, who Alipov claimed “understands” the “futility” of the war and that it is “lost by Ukraine and the West,” despite ongoing Western aid to Kyiv.
