Actxa Launches Spark Band for Glucose Monitoring at IFA 2026

by admin477351

Singapore-based Actxa has unveiled its latest innovation, the Spark Band, at IFA Berlin 2026. This screenless wearable technology integrates various health and fitness tracking capabilities, including sleep, recovery, and heart health monitoring, alongside Actxa’s proprietary non-invasive glucose awareness technology. Utilizing BGEM technology, the Spark Band’s AI Glucose Snapshot provides users with an estimated glucose range and an indicative value, offering insights into glucose-related patterns over time. This feature is designed for general wellness and awareness and not for medical diagnostics or treatment.

The Spark Band offers comprehensive health tracking through its accompanying app. It monitors sleep with features like sleep stages and scores while comparing sleep HRV with the user’s personal seven-day baseline to assess recovery. Users can track their activity levels through movement and Intensity Minutes, and the device provides insights into workouts, VO2 Max, and Fitness Age. A standout feature is the Target Heart Rate Zone, which uses LED and vibration alerts to notify users when they reach their desired training zone, all without a screen to minimize distractions.

Featuring a sleek design, the Spark Band weighs approximately 22 grams and is built with a zinc-alloy casing and a soft nylon braided strap. It boasts a battery life of up to 14 days, with a full charge taking about 90 minutes. The device is water-resistant, carrying an IP68 rating for up to 1.5 meters of immersion for 30 minutes. Users can store up to seven days of data on the device before syncing with the app via Bluetooth Low Energy, compatible with Android 8.0 and iOS 15.6 or later. Notably, the Spark Band does not require a subscription or ongoing service fees.

Set to launch officially on November 18, 2026, the Spark Band will be available for pre-order starting September 24, 2026, priced at SGD 199 / USD 149. Actxa plans to introduce the device across selected markets in Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and North America, offering promotional discounts during the pre-order phase. Early-bird customers can enjoy a 40% discount from September 24 to October 31, followed by a 20% discount until November 17, with a 10% launch offer available shortly after the official release.
