Bodo Ramelow, heading a German delegation, recently visited Da Nang, Vietnam, to bolster cooperation between the city and German entities across various sectors. The discussions focused on strengthening ties in education, vocational training, investment, technology, and workforce development.
During the meetings with local officials, both parties reviewed the current socio-economic collaborations and explored future opportunities. Da Nang authorities expressed a keen interest in deepening partnerships with German regions and institutions, particularly in areas such as human resource development, vocational education, and German language training. The city also encouraged increased German investment in high-tech industries, including semiconductor production, renewable energy, the green economy, and digital transformation.
Ramelow underscored the potential for cooperation in vocational education, suggesting the development of joint training programs that would enable graduates to earn qualifications recognized in both Vietnam and Germany. He also emphasized the importance of enhancing business connections and creating new investment opportunities.
Germany remains a significant European partner for Da Nang, with a collaborative relationship encompassing trade, technology, education, research, and cultural exchange. The visit served to reaffirm both sides’ commitment to expanding economic and institutional partnerships further.
